Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify psychosocial, cultural, economic, and systemic factors associated with unintended pregnancy among vulnerable populations.
- Explain behavioral health effects associated with unintended pregnancy and perinatal loss, including grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family-system stress.
- Apply ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive principles when supporting clients affected by unintended pregnancy or perinatal loss.
- Identify counseling, referral, and interdisciplinary strategies that support client autonomy, psychological well-being, and continuity of care.
